W. Bruce DelValle
W. Bruce DelValle is a founder and principal shareholder of Fein & DelValle PLLC, a commercial and civil litigation firm with a national client base. Mr. DelValle is admitted solely to practice law in Florida but not admitted in the District of Columbia. Practice is limited to federal court litigation and pro hac vice state court admissions pursuant to D.C. Rule 49(c)(3).
Mr. DelValle represents, among others, various individual civil rights and constitutional law litigants and a nationwide hospitality management and ownership group and a nationwide business consulting firm. He is actively involved as sole litigator in numerous federal and state lawsuits nationwide with a cumulative value in excess of $100 million dollars against litigants throughout the United States. Mr. DelValle is currently first chair in litigations involving claims of fraud involving hotel properties and receiverships in Indiana, Arizona and Colorado, as well as Michigan litigation where he successfully recovered potential oil and gas farmland from foreclosure by a reverse mortgage lender, emerging victorious at both the trial and appellate levels and thereby clarifying the law of fraud, foreclosure and proper notice in that State.
Mr. DelValle has relied upon his engineering background and his extensive experience in technology and related matters, having represented one of the pioneering Internet Service Providers (ISP), along with computer software developers and construction litigation along with agricultural and software inventors and music composers in several intellectual property matters. Additionally, Mr. DelValle has experience in numerous international products liability litigations, including chemical and agricultural pesticide products liability cases and Chinese defective products litigation relating to defective firearms. He recently was first-chair lead counsel in the defense and counterclaim of a $100 million defamation lawsuit involving a world-famous sports figure that resulted in settlement payments to his client and no payment to the Plaintiff.
Mr. DelValle was also lead counsel in federal and state court litigations involving an internet university and a multi-location Charter School. He also has recently served as first chair and Chief Litigation Counsel in numerous hurricane casualty loss insurance coverage litigations and construction defect and commercial law actions involving claims in excess of $100 million dollars in federal and state court actions located in Florida, Louisiana and New York, as well as several other business litigation matters pending in Florida, Texas and California state and federal courts. Mr. DelValle graduated cum laude from Washington & Lee University School of Law in 1988. Following his graduation, Mr. DelValle served for two (2) years as Law Clerk to former Chief Judge Norman C. Roettger, Jr., in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Mr. DelValle worked for national law firms in Atlanta, Georgia and Orlando, Florida prior to initially opening his own law practice in April of 1998.
Mr. DelValle has also represented numerous entertainment and sports figures and entities. Mr. DelValle has represented recording studios, composers, producers and record companies that have involvement in combined record sales in excess of fifty-five million records worldwide. Mr. DelValle has negotiated with record labels, publishing companies, television networks and with motion picture studios and distributors worldwide on behalf of various clients. Mr. DelValle represented professional sports teams and numerous athletes and entertainers through the years. Finally, Mr. DelValle served as General Counsel for a major professional sports team, the Orlando Predators Arena Football League team, from 2004 to 2007. Mr. DelValle has experience in handling open-shop strategies and union avoidance and strike management litigation before the NLRB and in the federal and state courts, as well as providing advice and guidance on labor dispute and union election grievances and successful union election management matters. Mr. DelValle has first-chaired and litigated numerous condemnation and land use litigations, including condemnation matters relating to the Orlando International Airport expansion and public utilities litigations and highway expansion projects throughout Florida.
Mr. DelValle is a member of the Florida Bar, the Georgia Bar (inactive status) and numerous Federal Court Trial Bars. Prior to attending law school, Mr. DelValle worked as a Level I and II Nuclear Quality Assurance/Quality Control Engineer and Field Engineer for the Bechtel Power Corporation and as a Consultant in the nuclear power industry. Mr. DelValle worked at nine (9) different nuclear power plant projects during eleven (11) assignments. He received his bachelor’s degree from The Pennsylvania State University. Mr. DelValle was born in Haskell, Texas and grew up near Balm, Florida, the son of a sixth-generation Floridian. Mr. DelValle now works primarily in Washington, D.C. and resides in Maryland with his wife and two children.
